Is Everything Interchangeable?

I've been on CPAP for a week. DME issued S8 Escape with humidifier and FlexFit 407 nasal mask. Can I use the Comfortlite 2, Aura or other masks with my unit? I think my S8 book mentions using only authorized equipment. The Flexfit mask is okay but I want to try others. From reading the posts it seems as if the Comfortlite 2 and the Aura are the favorites. Thanks for your help. I'm finding this forum very helpful.

Yes, go ahead and try other masks. The main differences are square inch area (a FFM has more than a nasal pillow), and leak rate (controlled through the re-breathe holes, and uncontrolled leaks past the seals.
