Can someone interpret this info?

Post by racefan » Sun Jun 11, 2006 5:10 pm

I have a ResMed Auto set Spirit. I went into the clinical menu & got these readings. Can anyone tell me what they mean?
This is the weekly reading.
Press.9.4
Leak 0.26L/s
AHI-3.4
AI-0.3
HI-3.2
The 1 month-6 month & year are all pretty close. the AI is the same in all of them. Thanks,Mike

It means that you're doing WELL!!!

It means that you're having on average 3.4 events/hour (apneas+hypopneas)

It means that your having on average 0.3 apneas per hour.

It means that you're having on average 3.2 hypopneas per hour.

It means that your mask is leaking 0.26L/s MORE than is designed in as exhaust.(Elevated but acceptable)

It means that you're getting these GREAT results with your Spirit blowing 9.4 cmH20 or less 95% of the time.

FYI, AHIs below 5 are considered to be normal. So CONGRATS!!!

Of course, these are simply my opinions and you shouldn't count on them AT ALL.

Cheers!

Isn't it cool to be able to see all that info right there on your machine, racefan?

I agree with GoofyUT -- your treatment is going super well, you normal thing, you!
