An update. . .
After looking at all my options I finally decided to purchase the Respironics Wisp. It is so small, I figure it will offer less interference with my pillow (I'm a side sleeper). I just got it today so won't be able to give a full report until morning but I did try it on. I can tell you that it's 's extremely comfortable.

Re: Nasal Mask Question . . .
I have a wisp for backup and i like it. The new Swift FX nano just came out and looks similar..even less obtrusive headgear than the Wisp. I think I will try the Nano the next time I get a new mask.

Thanks Stormy, I did try loosening the straps. Sometimes that helps.Stormynights wrote:Did you try loosening the straps instead of tightening?
My face may get oily to some degree in 3-4 hrs? Maybe I would need to wash it every night or two?

I also reduced my EPR from 3 to 2, which helped with the elan's stability.
I never turned it back up, and I think it may be better for the wisp.

Do you have a really narrow face? I am just curious if maybe it is too big. Just a rambling thought.DJD52 wrote:Thanks Stormy, I did try loosening the straps. Sometimes that helps.Stormynights wrote:Did you try loosening the straps instead of tightening?

Re: Nasal Mask Question . . .
The Swift FX mask was the first one I tried when I started cpap in early June and I am still totally satisfied with it. I toss and turn a lot but leaks have been minimal and it is very unusual for me to have an AHI for a night that is more than 1.rd1978 wrote:I'm curious to know if any particular brand/model of nasal mask has proven to seal better than others. I realize that facial features, etc. vary from person-to-person and that such factors affect how well a mask seals, but is there one in particular that just seems to perform better, i.e. has less problems with leaking?
