TAP PAP mouth pieces

Post by Nanny671 » Tue Aug 27, 2013 3:27 pm

I recently bought the TAP PAP. All of their ads show the mouth piece curls up in back of your front teeth. As you can see by the pictures, mine does not do this. I have talked with the people that I bought the mask from, and they say this is the correct piece. The ad pictures and videos show something entirely different. Those of you that have the TAP PAP - what does your mouth piece look like? My piece did not curl around my teeth like on the video.

I think the mask is going to work fine as far as the leak situation, but the mouth piece does move in my mouth more that I like. I am going to refit it and see if that helps. I also bought a strap so that I can hook the hose on top of my head. This helps some with the movement. I have already expressed my opinion to the company and asked them to look for a mouth piece which matchs their ads and that I wanted my piece replaced. I will probably get no where with that. Any thoughts on this. My IPAP is 20 with EPAP 15 and this is not set as high as the doctor wanted.

We cannot see pictures hosted on your computer. You have to upload them to some place like Photobucket and link to the pictures.

The new mouth guard is skinnier and doesn't fold up behind the front teeth. The first mouth guard did but the redid the mouth guard so that it is less obtrusive around the front teeth.

The promo material and the videos were based on the old design of the mouth guard. It was a good design but the new skinnier, lighter mouth guard is a better design.
