Since this thread's already been well and truly hijacked, here's what the inventor, Hinda Miller, has to say about sewing two jockstraps together to make the first jog bra or sports bra.

"I was a runner, along with my soon-to-be partner Lisa Lindahl. In 1977, we created the first sportsbra by sewing two jockstraps together and calling it the Jogbra. Now a generic name like Kleenex, Rollerblade, and Scotch tape, Jogbra has been honored by its placement in the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Smithsonian Museum. Sportsbras now generate $500 million at retail and is recognized as having as big a role as Title 1X in increasing women’s participation in sports and fitness."

Some ideas look crazy at first but actually turn out to be great Never stop inventing.

I like my ResMed AirFit F10 FFM - reasonably low leaks for my ASV therapy. I'm currently using a PR S1 AutoSV 960P Advanced. I also keep a ResMed S9 Adapt as backup. I use a heated Hibernite hose. Still rockin' with Win 7 by using GWX to stop Win 10.

Thanks for the other uses. I bought a PureSom standard size chin strap and it is too tight. The day I got it it was not fitted to my head. I asked about the type of chin strap that I used in the sleep study. I was told my supplier does not sell that kind. I told her later the chin strap was too tight and she did not mention I could bring it back. She just said the XL would be too big. (Lots of help there.)
The sleep study chin strap was white, a little too wide on the sides, but long enough and comfortible where it closed on the top of my head. I am going to try to get in touch with the sleep study techs and see that kind it was.

Now that I've read the explanation, I see what it is and also understand why it makes perfect sense.

Since the pressure cooker lacks any real color, it is hard to make it "pop" out.
I tried using the blue background, but that did not help that much.
It being 73 years old did not help any.

In fact it only looks as good as it does because of the help of Pugsy in cleaning it up a bit. Yep, she does other things besides handing out sound CPAP advice.

I may try it again using a different color background.

But, it ain't going away.
In fact, if I am successful in doing so, it will only stand out more.

That pressure cooker was in actual use by someone as little at 4 or so years ago.

Because of it's age, I would not try using it today - although it does seem to seal properly.

Having a catastrophic failure under pressure would not be a pretty sight.

Would you say, avatar choice, is just not something worth "stewing" over?

Stu: When I first saw your avatar I thought it was a mask and hose sitting on top a garbage can. I thought to myself, "Man, that's a super negative attitude for a member to have". I suppose I didn't really register the pressure gauge in the center of the photograph. I'm glad I didn't get critical and say anything at the time cuz it would have caused big kerfuffle. Thanks for explaining the whole complicated story... it does make sense once you elaborated on the reasoning.

I was aware that the picture was not that clear.
But, people mistaking it for a garbage can?

I guess trying to brighten up my avatar picture has just moved up on my priority list.

But, when you are 90% retired & don't want a priority list at all, moving up on that list does not mean it will happen tomorrow.

Stu,

I "got" your avatar the first time I saw it. If you've used a pressure cooker, you know what one looks like when you see it.

BTW, old pressure cookers can be safely used if the gasket is replaced with a new one. Sometimes, the gauge must be replaced also.

I would not let Avi get to you.. the old curmudgeon thinks he's the avatar police . He has made rude comments about other avatars before.. he probably thinks his is the only one that is so perfect..... maybe that's why he keeps changing it.
Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.
