BiPap machine stats from last night

Post by ellen1159 » Mon Aug 19, 2013 4:09 pm

I managed to keep the mask on 5 hours last night, from 10:30 to 3:30, and slept most of the time, but I did have to take it off twice to fix leaks. Encore basic said my AHI was 14.5 with an average CA Index of 10.6 and average OA Index of 1.7, Hypopnea Index 2.2 My machine is set with pressures from 15 to 24 but the report said average 90% IPAP 19.1 and average 90% EPAP 15.1. The average % of night in Large Leak was 23.9%.

Can someone explain? I am trying to figure out how to upload my report to this forum.

ellen,

First, are you using a Series 50 PR BiPAP or a Series 60 PR BiPAP? It makes a (small) difference in interpreting the numbers coming off your machine's LCD.

Does your machine have a heated hose?

Does your machine have a black or cream colored panel around the LCD?

Once I know that I'll be able to help you with the meaning of those numbers.

The number on the underside says 760P
Hose in not heated
panel around LCD is gray/silver (body of machine is charcoal grey/black)

You have a Series 60 BiPAP. You should change your profile since it lists a Series 50 right now. The item you want in the pul down list is a PR System One Series REMstar 60 Series BiPAP Auto with Bi-Flex. It's a bit higher up on the list than the Series 50 machine you picked.

Those numbers are one-day numbers from your machine's LCD? If so, I'll explain them later on today.

Numbers are from Encore basic report (detail pages)

Here are Pugsy's instructions for posting reports:

Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.

Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
If you want to use Photobucket they provide a box with the various url addresses and you just choose the last one in the box.
Copy/paste that last line url address into the body of your post.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.

Also consider reading her thread "Pugsy's Pointers" in the sticky at the top of the Home page. A lot of your questions will be answered about data interpretation and what the numbers and percentages mean if you read that thread attentively.
