Is SleepyHead (Mac) compatible with 760 BiPap Auto?

Post by beautifuldreamer » Wed Aug 14, 2013 8:40 pm

Last night was my first night with my brand new 760 BiPap Auto - Thanks to STL Mark for encouraging me to check to see if my Sleep Lab would support me if I purchased a BiPap Auto, because, it ends up after I was loaned one for a week, they wrote a prescription for me so that my DME would cover the cost

Tonight I tried to get the data onto SleepyHead for the Mac (I don't have a PC). And I know in the morning I saw that I had 4.5 AHI on the display of the BiPap, but when I uploaded the data from the SD card, it says that I had 853 AHI, and does not show any events on the graphs, and many of the graphs are missing.

Thanks for any advice.

Did you do the Patch file for Macs for the 60 series machines?

Yes, I had downloaded that in the past, and it was working fine with my Auto CPAP 560 series. Not sure why it doesn't work with the new 760.

The 60 series BiPaps seem to be a little different. Initially the Patch for the Windows version didn't work with the BiPaps either but they got that worked out but I guess the Mac version still isn't up and working.

Do you have any access to a Windows computer at all?
If not...send me a private message and I will see what we can work out.

I need some sample data for the new BiPap's so I can see what's different. (Basically a zipped copy of the SD card)

Please PM me if you can help.

Mark, I sent you a PM with link to my compressed P Series folder. Let me know if I didn't do it right.

Just a thought here. I too have a Mac and I was not able to get SH running with my Mac and my 760P machine. Maybe it could have been done but I'm not a techie and I have little patience for patches and work-arounds. When I started trying to get SH to play nice with my Mac I got some messages about something I was supposed to do with the "root". Now what the heck is a "root"? I moved over to Macs so I wouldn't have to think about stuff like that.

So while I'm not made of money this is very important to me, so I simply went off to Office Depot and bought a new HP Windows 7 laptop. Because it was Windoze 7 and not 8 (which I strongly preferred anyway) I got it for $240.00. I felt like Steve Jobs was going to come out of the sky and smite me but at least I'm up and running.

You can easily find used Windows XP machines for not much over a hundred bucks>

In SleepyHead this is where we tell it to go find the SD card so SH can import the data.
The root directory is the drive letter where the SD card is plugged in.
Since SleepyHead works with multiple machines we can't tell it to go look in the first folder on the SD card because each brand has a different named folder. So SleepyHead just looks in the root directory for the SD card no matter what the first file might be.

So the root directory is the drive letter where the SD sits. So that drive letter is all that is needed to be showing in the directory that we choose. If anything other than that drive letter is showing in the the little box then SH can't find the files.
