Since I don't want to take the thread off topic,I just sent you a PM about non-24 hour sleep wake disorder.

Thanks!

Perhaps you might ask your doctor about and ssri like efexxor
As one who is trying to GET OFF Effexor due to insomnia, I DO NOT recommend SSRI's or SNRI's for a person who says he already has insomnia. see recent thread about antidepressants
I second this big time who feels that being on antidepressants for years has contributed to my sleep cycle being extremely messed up.

Looking back at my SleepyHead data and looking at the sleep times chart I was amazed to see a clear "Non-24-hour sleep-wake disorder (Non-24)" pattern. I think you are right about the connection between circadian sleep cycles being messed up by SSRI SNRI drugs. Thanks for the information.

I am very glad to be rid of them. They should be limited by law to short term use.

take care,

Todzo

Thank you very much for all of the responses and encouragement. They really mean a lot to me! Just to update, I've been trying a few things since I posted this topic, including using chinstrap at various tightness, replacing the entire mask (still swift LT but the old one is just so worn out that it barely stays on my face), trying nasal strip. None of this has worked for me yet but I notice a very important thing: I seem to take my CPAP mask off and turn it off whenever I am about to fall into deep sleep, and that moment is often accompanied with mouth leak (ie. bubbling in my mouth) and excessive drooling. I think if I were able to fix the mouth leak, maybe i could get used to CPAP at some point. To that end, I'm trying to get used to chin strap right now (Respironics Premium) but I could never ever fall asleep with it. I also considered taping but given that I drool a lot with CPAP on, I am afraid I am going to choke in my own saliva... I also tried using Mirage Quattro that I got a year ago (but never got used to it). Now it doesn't seal well, which makes me wonder whether the mask is just a bad fit for my face or the masks lost its seal on its own while sitting in the shelf (I put it on like 4 times only so don't think the seal is lost because of wearing). Anyways, I thank you all again for the responses
