Best way to clean filter material

Post by Stagger Lee » Sun Jul 28, 2013 8:14 pm

What is the best way to clean the air inlet filter material?

I have just been dusting the surface by hand but I was wondering if cleaning it in water would help or destroy it?

BTW - I live a long way from CPAP supply store and my machine is a PR system one aflex

If it's the regular foam type, just stick it in soapy water and squish it to get any dust or dirt out, rinse in water and let it dry.

The reusable filters can be washed with soapy water; the disposable ones are . . .
disposable. The filter material is too fragile to be cleaned.
My insurance paid $12 each for filters from a local source.
I bought six for that price from cpap.com.
