Passed my first big test

Post by birdiebaby » Tue Jun 06, 2006 9:48 pm

I can't say that the learning curve for me has been 100% perfect. I was expecting the worst, and got some of it, but for the most part I have made it past the hurdles and am truly excited about my future with my pal Pap.

Despite bloody noses, extreme congestion and raw, sore throats because I wasn't given a humidifer (and I live in a semi-arid climate), facial swelling, and a sore or two from having to tape my face, I have been sleeping and sleeping and sleeping.

I would say that I feel more mental clarity even if I still feel tired. I also have noticed things such as being able to sleep on my back has helped the backache and pains. I was able to golf two consecutive days without needing to pump myself with food or sugar to keep going, too. Small victories, but I wondered if it were some of the placebo effect.

Well today was the first true test. Could I get myself out of bed at 5:15 this morning to be at work at 7, and train a class full of people without having to stop at the candy machine and coffee stand at every break. I'm happy to report that I was able to do it on one SMALL cup of coffee, and zero trips for candy. Although I'm tired, I'm still awake and mentally clear. In fact, I actually look forward to putting my mask on at night, because I expect a good night's sleep.

I think this might actually be working!!!!!!
