Hi! I am new to the forum. I have learned so much just reading the posts today. Thanks to all of you who share your experience.
I have been using CPAP for just a little over a month. I have had some sinus issues due to humidifier being set to high and some mask issues with leaks. Both of these have been resolved. I have been sleeping good and feeling better. I have not been snoring or breathing through my mouth.
Last night I developed a rash all around my nose in the shape of the mask. Very red and irritated. Looks a little like diaper rash (ha ha) Pressure setting is 9.

Let's not do anything rash!
My first thought was, "What if you cleaned the mask with something you were allergic to?"
My second thought was, "What if you have become allergic to the materials that the mask is made from?"
Most of the masks I've seen are made from silicone rubber. Such allergies are uncommon but not unknown.
You also might be allergic to something that the mask forces to be in contact with your face, pollen, dust.
For tonight I'd use a little cortisone cream (not ointment) and I'd wash the area and mask carefully with plain water before drying it and putting it on.
