CPAP Machine Decision

I recently got a CPAP machine delivered. My insurance paid so I have no idea cost. They arbitrarily gave me a Fisher Paykal HC230 withheated humidifier. It works fine but I asked for something more portable and sleeker. I think they are going to send me an S7 - not sure which specific one but I doubt the Elite. Pics I have seen make it not look much better than the one I have. Also, anybody know about the Resmed S6 II/w/ humidifier - it looks a lot smaller?

I am looking for opinions/advice. Thanks in advance!

The S7 and S6 are rather large. The S6 has been disconinued. The Resmed S8, Respironics M Series, Puritan Bennet 420 series are the "small" CPAPs from the 3 major manufactures.

Don't let them palm an S6 off on you as new, they are obsolete.

That fact aside, the S6 is an excellent machine.

i have to call the place and try to get what i want - i want something small and i need a heated humidifier - which one do you think - if they are too expensive they probably wont give it to me so i dont want to ask for the most expensive one

There isn't a big cost difference in the smaller CPAPs. The 420G is one of the least expensive CPAPs on the market.

so they came and switched the fisher paykal 430 series for the puritan bennet goodnight h2o

the machine itself is more compact but when you add in the humidifier its almost as big as the fisher paykal plus the fisher paykal seemed a little higher quality
