AHI???

I am a newbie (second week on CPAP), so this may be a really dumb question, but here goes. I was doing some searching and reading some old threads on this site and there were a few where people were talking about thier AHI number that came out of thier sleep study and comparing it to thier AHI since. I'm confused!

I know what AHI is, my sleep doc explained it and I read the definition on this site. But what I don't understand is how do people know what thier AHI experience is outside of a sleep study? Is there some measurement on the machine that a user can access? I have a ResMed S8 Vantage.

Your equipment icon below your post indicates that you have the S8 Compact, which doesn't have the statistics capabilities. If, in fact, you DO have the Vantage, you should be able to see what your nightly statistics are by pushing some combination of buttons and seeing them in the display window. If you don't know what that button combination is, someone here might be able to help you.
There is also software available to download that information, too.

For us Respironics users, there's software and a card reader to download our nightly statistics.
