One of you Remstar Auto owners may know the answer to this. Please tell me.
The Cpap.com web site says under the hose section that some Auto titrating machines have extra tubes that either run up the hose or as an additional tube to gauge the pressure.
How does the Remstar auto do that? Is the sensor in the box (main body of the unit?)
When I replace the hose which looks like a standard CPAP hose, is there anything special about it?
I just picked mine up today!!! The struggle to get the auto unit is over but forgot to ask this question.
As long as compliance is ok and nothing hicups, this thing will be mine in 3 months for just under $300 copay!! with heated humidifier.
Thanks for any help on the hose question

No it is a standard hose, although you may want to get an Aussie heated hose at some point!snoregirl wrote:

Bob
Thanks Bob for the answer on the sensor,
I feel better knowing I have the right stuff.
On the heated hose, so far with my used unit (3 weeks of using) I haven't had any trouble with rainout. Maybe in the winter when the air is colder, but I don't let the temperature in the bedrooms go too low at night. 3 zones and like to be comfortable.
So I am hoping a polartec cover will do which I can make easily
