Ausie Hose failure

Post by TerryB » Sun May 21, 2006 5:57 pm

Has anyone else had a heated hose failure. Mine is only two weeks old and went out last night. The power adapter they supplied isn't putting out any voltage today, but I don't know whether the hose killed the adapter of the adapter died on its own. Back to rainout for now. Radio Shack tomorrow.

Hummmmm....neither of my hoses came with an adapter. (one 20 months old , one 15 months old) I bought my adapters from Radio Shack. Wonder what has happened? Hope it does not happen to me!

I think it has been mentioned Radio Shack has more than one adapter that works with the hose, one is underpowered, maybe yours met it's maker, and a stronger rated our would run cooler and last longer. Jim

Terry, if the adapter came with the hose why don't you email them with the problem? They are very nice people, I wouldn't doubt they'd have a workable solution. Could be just a fluke that this adapter was bad. Give them a chance to help you out. I realize to be without the hose would be a bummer, I know I would miss mine even for a few nights. Good luck.

They (Sleepzone) are shipping a power transformer with the units coming to North America now and this transformer came with my Hose.
I am working with Donald, but I guess we are "seperated by a common language". I gave him the values of voltage and resistance that I found and he asked me to verify the values of voltage and resistance that he said I should find. So, I will verify my readings again tonight. Another unhappy night last night without the heat. I guess I'll have to turn off the humidifier since we are getting deep into A/C season and the temp. excursions in the room are pretty severe.
