MORE BREAKING NEWS ON LOCAL DME ATTACKS !!!

Post by Offerocker » Thu May 18, 2006 9:23 pm

Another outbreak of local DME attacks!!!

Local coroner had a “First” today when he extracted what appeared to be a memory card from an orifice of yet another local DME CPAP representative. (or someone posing as one)

The patrons of this establishment have been investigated for any missing cards from their equipment. No fingerprints have been retrieved from the extracted card. So far, there are no obvious suspects in this concerned community.

An unnamed coworker volunteered information, stating that the woman was interested in a new technology she’d heard about recently – an ongoing study dealing with “plug-in memory” for humans. Our researchers interviewed a member of the study group, and found out that the goal was to provide pre-programmed cards (foreign language, mathematics, etc.) to individuals for a price less than a college course in that particular subject. (Now, that’s a stock pick if ever I saw one! – Editor’s note) Additional anonymous note from another co-worker detailed suspicions that the rep didn’t know the difference from her brain and her a___ ….*FLASH* More information received from an unnamed source!!! It seems that this rep had taken a recent customer’s CPAP memory card for purposes of downloading data, then returning the card and the printout of the data. It seems that the rep told the client that she was somehow ‘unable’ to download the card data on her computer, and they guy who could was “in a conference”. We are told that this “conference” was held the entire time the client was at the office for her scheduled meeting. (Ed. Note: Is this “STORY TIME” again??) Rep promised to ‘have it done ASAP’ (even though by then, it was closing time. Hmmmmmmmm This reporter is getting suspicious, but I’m only reporting what I know. Unfortunately, the client chooses to go home empty-handed, due to the long trip to the C-RAP offices, and asks that the results be delivered the next day. Fair enough, wouldn’t you think, since the rep has NEVER made a trip to client? Client reports that she left urgent voice mail next morning, repeating request and a feedback phone call. (observe 6 hours of silence, please) That next day, at 1630, closing time, customer receives a curt telephone call from the rep: “Your card was mailed today and you should receive it in tomorrow’s mail”. Well, if that doesn’t put an end to any further discussion, I don’t know what does! We’ll see if the mailman brings a ribboned package from the DME tomorrow – along with a memory card AND the report.

Well, back to the scene of the attack: CSI team currently taking inventory of memory cards on the premises. Coroner reporting additional cards being retrieved from rep’s body. Seems that since the rep thought she was being so smart, someone wanted to let her know what she could do with all of that brilliance.
Case closed until further notice. -30-

AHA! You've been busy, I see, took your imagination out for some exercise, did you? And I spent the afternoon sitting in the Dr's office.......for an appointment that was two hours late, and I felt too crappy to even tease my imagination. Good one!.........hmmmmm.......never thought about other uses for smart cards......

Gidgie, You would it you were with me today!!!
I don't think placing the card in her 'proper slot' would do any good though, ha ha. Actually, I started this on a piece of paper while we were driving to dinner, then added some during dinner - laughing to myself all the time, and wishing I really could get away with half of the stuff I've written about. But it's fun fantasizing and letting the imagination run rampant!! Sometimes I wonder about myself. Well, it sure is a good outlet, and I'm glad other have had a good laugh too. It is really meant in fun - or- maybe fantasy??? hehhh hehhh

When I finally return that machine for the last time, I just may 'forget' to include the card - after all, it has MY data on it that someone else is busy downloading, eh? "The card's in the mail"...har har har I'm soooo bad.

Excellent idea! It does have some class to it, you know; slightly flashy, holds its shape, it just might 'do' for quite a few things!

AND, I know who my first model will be!! My darling DME!! STICKY SIDE DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, I just couldn't resist that. But work with me on this, and we just may have something here.

It might even work for interior decorating.........Like sticking all those failed masks that some folks like to collect, and like your DEAR DME has by the ...bin....(probably)......in places where one would least expect to find them?
