Gail, trying to read about the software will drive ya nuts. If you've installed it off the CD and you have a little SL3 icon showing on your desktop, you've done good.

Wader or chrisp or someone who has used the SL3 software can walk you through squeezing your machine's info through the narrow little cable into your computer.

They can also tell you which pages of data are actually interesting to look at. There are a lot of pages that you don't have to bother looking at, and a lot of things that you don't have to bother with on the one or two pages that you do look at. Better to have someone helping you via phone or email or PMs as you try to figure it out at first. After a time or two, you'll have a routine going of what you actually want to look at, and how to get to it. Forget the software manual - it's confusing as heck. Go with someone holding your hand, instead.

I know those words, in several languages. Makes it handy to travel, haha.
I'm glad that the printed manual is like a new car manual WHO READS THIS STUFF?? Better yet, who gets PAID $ to write it, I KNOW I KNOW, A DME. haha
