Remstar Auto, No C-Flex, New Question?

Post by Snoozin' Bluezzz » Fri Apr 21, 2006 8:37 pm

Ok, one of our wonderful members helped me out with the menu so I think I have figured out everything.

A question - This machine does not seem to have a CPAP only setting. Does this date this machine for anyone? Am I missing something?

Once again, this is a Remstar Auto without C-Flex bought cheaply on Yahoo auctions so I am flying a little blind here.

It does have a card and I expect to be able to get Encore Pro and My Encore data off of it. If I can't then it will get donated.

SB,

I just looked at a price list I had saved from CPAP.COM a year ago (04/24/05) and the REMstar Auto was still available without C-Flex. The one WITH C-Flex was also available.

If that tells you anything.....

Best wishes,

Well, if there was only one verson of the Auto w/o C-Flex then I guess there either was not a straight CPAP option or I am missing a setting or a means to get to the setting. I do have access to the clinicians manual for the newer Auto and I have gotten into setup menu (it's different from the newer manual), set min/max pressure, alerts, button lights etc. but I don't see a setting for straight CPAP. No biggie I guess. If I get a good titration number and want to run straight CPAP (without data unfortunately) I'll go back to the Old Pro. I bought this to get the data until I can get a newer APAP.

SB,

On that machine, to use it in CPAP mode, set the minimum and maximum pressure to the same number.

Ahhhhh I knew that I had read that somewhere before but do you think I could find it. I had mentioned this when I first came on but could never find where. Even though I still haven't found it at least you have finally verified that for me .

DVL & SB,

I took that straight from the "Service Manual" for that machine.
