The 1 in 500 is specifically for HCM. I'm guessing that enlarged hearts for any cause, such as the ones at the link you gave, is much more common. I had left ventricular hypertrophy due to high blood pressure, but seems to have faded after about 7 years of BP meds.avi123 wrote:Thanks Max. Your post is the only one that made sense to me.
