I downloaded ResScan and SleepyHead software tonight and am learning how to read the data via the tutorials. A couple of questions.
1. Is having 15 events of obstructive apnea on the high side? To me, it seems to be.
2. I'm assuming the number in parenthesis is the number of seconds the apnea occurred. For example, #001 was for 16 seconds. Correct?
Obstructive Apnea 15 events
#001: 00:31:15 (16)
#002: 00:32:34 (26)
What are some of the most widely used and pertinent data points viewed on the SleepHead software?
Thank you.
Chuck

Depends...Chuck Connors wrote:1. Is having 15 events of obstructive apnea on the high side? To me, it seems to be.
Over what time span? 4 hours..6 hours...8 hours....
Are they all bunched together in a cluster or two....or are they all spread out.
If over 6 hours of sleep....that is only 2.5 per hour index...not bad at all.
When I look at SleepyHead report...it is mostly a quick glance at the AHI and its breakdown...the events graph to look for clusters....pressure line for variations since I am using auto mode and the leak line...make sure no huge prolonged leaks.
The rest of the stuff I don't bother with. Start with the easy stuff first and once you have a handle on it..then go on to the other stuff and google them to get normal values (they vary widely)

Pugsy, the 15 events occurred over 7 hours. Thank you for your response. It's much appreciated. -Chuck-
