S9 AutoSet

Post by pratzert » Mon Apr 16, 2012 8:09 am

I am now eligible for a new machine ( it's been almost 6 years since my first machine ) and from what I have read on the forum, one of the the most popular CPAP/APAP machine seems to be the Resmed S9 AutoSet.

I currently have the Respironics RemStar Auto w/C-Flex and it's been good.

From what I've read the S9 Autoset is very, very quiet.

But how about the software available to follow my therapy ? The Respironics used EncroPro.

What does the S9 AutoSet use ? Is it included or a separate item ?

I plan to order the heated Humidifier too. Are there any other items which are suggested as an option to the S9 AutoSet?

BTW... I'll be ordering form CPAP.Com.

Thanks

The software is ResScan. I do not have at my fingertips the download site. You may want the climateline hose, the hypoalergenic air filters, and the dishwasher safe water tank.

Software is not included by any company.

SleepyHead will work with both the Respironics PR S1 machines and the ResMed S9. See links in my signature line.

ResScan for the S9 machine is available...Uncle_Bob has that link in his signature. There is a tutorial available for Resscan...

I have links for Encore available...just send me a private message for more information.

EncoreViewer 2.0 is available for purchase $100...32 bit version only and it is missing the waveform data that the PR S1 machines offer. I don't recommend it. Other versions of Encore will have it and there is now a slimmed down EncoreBasic version that will install on 64 bit computers and offers ALL the data of Pro without the headaches and it is what I recommend now.

So basically...tell me what software you want and I can help.

On another thread, posted my new experience with S9Auto. I just upgraded from S8 AutoSet and the new S9 is incredibly quiet - even my wife was surprised. YMMV, good luck!
