I haven't piped up in awhile about anything of note so this will be nothing of note other than to say:
THANKS!
I understand what I am doing and where I am going with my treatment because of this forum. I know what choices there are in front of me to make, or not make. I know what issues there are. I know some strategies on how to deal with my DME and I know some strategies on how to deal with the medical folks. I have learned how to manage my interface, clean it, keep it from leaking. I know which alternative interfaces I might find useful if I require them. I have learned a best solution, for me, to manage mouth leaks, at least at this point in time. I know I want an APAP, probably want an oximeter and that I want to manage my own treatment, now I just need to get the new prescription and to manage my budget.
After 46 continuous days and 400+ hours I am far from completely rested, I am unsure if my pressure is set correctly, I am far too fat (to be blunt). I am not completely clear if the therapy is working as it should but I know how to find out.
I find that the folks on this forum are extremely comitted, very knowledgeable, very helpful, extremely tolerant (in general), often funny, sometimes witty and I am grateful for each and everyone who has been here to help out.
I think the last thread on the analytical and research approach to OSA etc. was a fine example of what can be found here in depth besides the everyday practical advice.
Have a great day.
David
