Hi, My mother just got her CPAP machine. But the ramp was set up from 7 to 10. But she wants to change it from 4 to 10 in 30mins. We own the machine( Resmed escape , but we don't have insurance. Does anybody know how to adjust that?
Thank you

4cm is too low for most patients, she will starve for air just trying to breathe normally in order to fall asleep. More than likely she will want it set to 5cm or 6cm at ramp start then increase to final 10cm after 30-minutes.
If she is just starting out, understand it can take 4-6 weeks to become accustomed to wearing cpap where she can easily fall asleep.
Need to know what kind of cpap machine she has in order to change it, or she can call her doctor/DME and ask how to change it also.
If the machine has Cflex I wouldn't go any lower than 5cm, nor would I set the Cflex setting any higher than 2.
