Thanks to the Post Office I now have two Card readers. I thought before I send it back I would offer it to someone on here.

Any takers please PM me. $73 (what it cost me) plus whatever shipping you prefer. I have paypal.

The medical industry has a license to steal
$73! What does a ResMed card reader do that an $8 (or less) SD card reader doesn't do?
Besides, I haven't seen a computer that doesn't have a build in SD card reader in years.

Resmed S8 cannot use an SD card...you need a card reader.

JeffL I agree it's like they are stealing.

Of course, I can only blame myself since I ordered an S8 before I checked on here first. If I had checked, I would have got the S9 without a doubt. Looks like I'll be sending the card reader back.

I wondering if the manufacturer made it hard to read the smart card to sell (an expensive) solution or if it is a privileged "dark, deep secret" data reserved to medical profession that should be kept away from dumbies patients (you can buy an average smartcard reader for $10).

I don't like the fact that bought an expensive data capable CPAP with information that is hidden from me.

I will try if this work:

The S8 card reader is ridiculous expensive now. The one in the link will work if you can find one. ACR made the card reader for Resmed. Even with the card reader the S8 doesn't give you any flow data. Well unless you also get the Reslink module. Another ridiculous expensive device.

When I tried to get a S8 reader thru the DME's here locally you would think I was trying to get a super secret national treasure. They still don't see the irony that with the S9, you can get all the data with a standard SD card that pretty much any SD card reader will work with.
