Mirage Activa/Softgel headgear sizing

Post by Elle » Sun Dec 25, 2011 6:04 pm

It didn't occur to me that the headgear came in different sizes. I assumed the headgear was the same for S.M.L cushions. My medium cushion is ideal but the strappy thing on my head is too big. It slides over the top of my head unless I roll up the bottom strap (which makes the clips twist).

I am wondering if anyone using these masks uses a different head gear than the size of their cushions or do you stick with the one that comes with the mask? Thanks for your help.

The headgear on my two original Resmed masks were too large.
Eventually, I stopped wearing them.
It would be nice if they either made them vertically adjustable or offered sizes with the initial purchase.
I expect to buy a lot of masks and cushions from the other guys. . .

Yeah, It would have been nice to have a choice. I finally got a small mirage softgel because I was tired of struggling with my mask but the cushion was too small so I went back to my medium. I had no idea until doing a search just now on cpap.com that the headgear could be bought separately in the different sizes. They aren't too expensive.

c-pap.com sell the headgear in a size S
I just buy the headgear and strap it on my small frame.
