Sp02 and EncoreViewer - Need help interpreting

Post by Starlette » Thu Dec 22, 2011 8:11 am

Good morning all.

I’m looking at my EncoreView and Sp02 and trying to make sense of my events. This was for last night:

Total sleep time 4.07
SP02 Total Events = 25
Time in events (min) 18.8
Average Event Dur. (sec) 45.2
EncoreViewer AHI = 2.5

I’m evaluating my cpap pressure based upon both data.

PS. Going back to bed. Snow day for me, yayyy!

I really can't help. I don't pay much attention to the scored "events" in SPO2, since they only represent 4% changes either up or down. I look at the graphs for significant desats.

You had 25 Sp02 events as measured by pressure detection by your PAP during 4 hours of sleep.
The total amount of time of the combined events was 18.8 minutes
The average event lasted 45.2 seconds
Your AHI was 2.5 (4.07 hours divided by 25 events)

Oximeter Sp02 events are detected as amount of 02 in the blood.
