Not sure what I am going to do - Went to what I thought was a consult with a plastic surgeon, walked out with stiches in the back of my head (cyst removed) and stitches in my cheek (more removal). I am not sure that my nasal mask is going to work with the stitches and I didn't have time to call my doctor or DME to see if I could pick up a different mask. Not sure what I am going to do for the weekend - will have to wait until Monday to talke to anyone about it.

Does your DME have Sat hours, ours does?

Is there any way you can 'cushion' some kind of dressing under a hat or something to put under your mask? I hope you find a solution.

I would try to use it, but wouldn't worry about it if you can't. First things first. You may have to recover from the surgery first.

what kind of dressing on your cheek? Back of head? Will the headgear strap touch the area on back of head where you have stitches?
Probably will hit both areas I am guessing? If you put a head cover or scarf over your hair, would that help. I have a small cotton knit cap I put over my hair so headgear won't pull my hair. Do you have anything like that? Then for your cheek, you might be able to use Tegaderm over the area with stitches so you can wear nasal pillows.

Well, it just brushes the area on my cheek - so that is ok. the strap on the back of my head is right over the stitches. I went without last night I think tonight I will try to cushion it with some type of donut thingy...
