Nasal Mask for small faces

Posting for my wife, as she does not do online forums.

Any recommendations out there for a nasal mask for small faces? At the DME's office she tried a Mirage FX for Her, but the nasal mask hit the corners of her eyes and top of her lip. For the time being she has stuck with her Swift FX for her in the petite size, but her nose is getting sore. Are there any masks out there that are in the petite size?

I'm looking at sleepnet's mini me, a child's nasal mask which comes in 3 sizes.

Fisher&Peykal Zest makes a petite size that is very tiny. It's got a two part silicone seal...a fairly conventional nasal mask. I know a few people who have used them and liked them.

Sorry but I have no experience with nasal mask so I can't offer anything there but I wanted to mention that I do use the Swift FX and it really shouldn't be causing any significant discomfort. Usually when nasal pillows are causing much pain they are too tight. In the case of the Swift FX...top strap might be a bit too snug. So if major pain or rubbing a raw spot...loosen top strap.

Now some people just have some minor tenderness because that portion of the nostril just isn't used to having anything touching it. A bit of Lansinoh ointment may help ease the irritation till the nostril gets used to having something sitting on it. Lansinoh ointment is used by nursing mom's to help with nipple discomfort and healing. Found usually in the baby section at Walmart or pharmacy.
Only a small amount is needed and can be used 24/7 till tenderness goes away.

If your wife really likes the Swift FX and wants to make it her main mask..then she might like the Padacheeks barrel cozy. I got it originally to help with rain out but I found that it was so comfortable to have the soft smooth fabric next to my skin that use it all the time.
If someone is handy they could make their own but I am lazy and not handy so I just bought mine.

I found that a thin smear of Lansinoh on the contact area of my nostrils helped a lot with the Swift FX.

The trouble with the FX mask is its kind of a one size fits all in that it is not all that adjustable.
My suggestion for your wife would be the Swift LT for her. The LT has a swivel barrel adjustment for the pillow so she can tilt it at any angle to align it with her nostrils without having to clamp it on tight to fit. The pillows also come in XS, S & Medium. There is bit more to the mask compared to the FX but the LT also has more flexible headgear adjustments to help vary the position of the mask on the face. All the adjustments you can actually make with the LT means your wife stands a better chance at getting the pillows to "float" on the end of her nose without the headgear problems.
