I have been feeling faint lately as if I am about to pass out and it seems like I am unable to take a deep breath. I wonder if it has anything to do with oxygen levels? It feels like I am only comfortable with cpap on and I want to go back to bed so I can use it.
I have used the FP 604 for over 5 years with no problem but my insurer has allowed a new machine so I am getting the Resmed S9 autoset this afternoon. I am hoping it will make a difference in how I feel but since my current machine appears to be working ok it isn't likely related. I feel like I am addicted to cpap.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Re: feeling faint
Sounds like good questions for your doctor.
As for the soothing air from the pap, yes, there are days that I'd like to crawl in bed and take a nap with it. But then I remind myself of those nights when the air leaks out around my lower lips.....

Re: feeling faint
Get yourself in to your doctor now! We are not doctors, it could be from a host of other problems including low blood pressure, you need to be checked out immediately.

Started cpap in 2010.. still at it with great results.
Re: feeling faint
I am seeing the doctor in two days but I was curious to hear whether this affinity for extra oxygen was common among cpap users.
It isn't an emergency situation since it has happened for a while and is intermittent. I do check my blood pressure when it is happening and it is fine. I seem to notice it more on mornings when I have had a restless night where my mask wouldn't stay put but I think the mask thing is happening because of the occasional restless sleeps and not the mask causing the restless sleeps.
I tend to assume that it is sleep apnea related before thinking that everyone has the occasional off night.

Re: feeling faint
I second the suggestion to see a doctor ASAP. The dizziness is impossible to diagnose on the forum. I don't believe we can get "addicted" to CPAP.
Good luck. Glad you are seeing the doctor.
