BACTERIA FILTER

WHENEVER YOU USE A CPAP OR BIPAP FURNISHED AS A RENTAL OR FOR TESTING BE SURE TO USE A "bacteria filter". The filters by respironics attach between the machine and the hose to your nasal unit.

THIS IS BASED ON RESPIRONICS INC. RECOMMENDATION.

I WAS AT MAYO CLINIC IN ROCHESTER WHICH HAD MACHINES WITH THE WARNING TO USE BACTERIA FILTERS - BUT -- THEY WERE NOT. SO, I WENT HOPE AND GO MY BACTERIA FILTER. (machines used by other people can receive backflow of their breathing and it could cause you problems.

The sealed Respironics bag the filter comes in is labeled 342777 - it also states to reorder the Bacteria Filter to used "REF 342077".
