My DME told me, "You get one free mask exchange n the first 30 days" Others in the forum say they've exchanged masks multiple times. The manufacturers allow multiple exchanges as long as the DME fills out the required paperwork.

"We have to code the full face cushion as a full face mask without headgear; otherwise we'd be losing money."
I actually have that saved in an email--I really ought to forward it someone besides insurance-but who?

Not necessarily true. Someone posted the policy for one manufacturer from the manufacturer's web site. It stated one mask exchange paid for by the manufacturer.

Hmmmmm, do you recall if that manufacturer was Resmed by any chance?
