Thanks. I'm hoping I can "sweet talk" my daughter into making me a triple layer chocolate pie - when she gets home. I have all the ingredients, but I can't do the mixing necessary to make it.

It sure would be good -- would boost my spirits a bit as well.

Tell her Robysue said to make that pie. And to make it right away. And to let you eat it BEFORE supper!

I didn't have to ask twice. We had it done and in the frig around 3:30, but it has to set for 3 hours. We're going to dig in around 7 or 7:30!

My daughter and I just cut into it....not too bad, especially considering how fast and easy it was to make.

Chocolate -- one of life's simple pleasures -- that I can still enjoy.

LOL-- I got it off the lid of a Cool Whip container! Happy to share but will have to wait until tomorrow when I can get to my computer. I'm using my Kindle Fire in the evenings. Typing too much is difficult....

Triple Layer Chocolate Pie

2 packages Chocolate Instant Pudding
2 Cups Cold Milk
1 Oreo Pie Crust (I use regular Graham Crack Crust)
1 Tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, Thawed, Divided

Beat pudding mixes and milk in large bowl with a whisk for 2 minutes (pudding will be thick). Spread 1 ½ cups of pudding onto bottom of crust. Stir half the Cool Whip into remaining pudding and spread over the layer in the crust. Top with remaining Cool Whip. Refrigerate 3 hours to set.

Fast & Easy.

Mmm... pie....

Have you ever noticed that 3.14, viewed as a mirror image, looks like P - I - E ?

Always glad to hear from you, Mad.

Sigh! Just reading this part of the thread (about the pie) has probably driven up my blood glucose number! 8^) I wonder how much insulin I need to take to keep it from shooting sky high. Based on the drool, it's probably a larger dose!

I was thinking the same thing -- I'm pretty sure there are Sugar Free Jello mixes --

You could probably also do this with other flavors -- vanilla, banana -- for those that aren't as big "chocoholics" --

Me? I'm a chocolate fan all the way.

This IS rich, but compared to the French Silk Pie my daughter makes, this isn't quite as rich. Not quite as tasty either, but....

The one thing that may be better than a good nights sleep is a chocolate desert...

Yum.

WEll, I thought of making this comment earlier, but the discussion has now gotten to me. A scrumpious concoction that used to be only a 22-mile drive away is PeaNutButter Pie. Great and RICH. I've had Chocolate-PB pie as well and that really is good. Only thing is I prefer a tart, as in semi-sweet chocolate, rather than typical sweet-sweet chocolate.
Sooo, that's my contribution to John's gastric drool!
