Hi all,
Does anyone have any feedback or review of the cloth SleepWeaver Mask? I've been a CPAP user for nearly 3 years (for moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea) and I can't seem to find a mask -- have tried 10 -- that doesn't irritate the bridge of my nose. I can't tolerate a nasal pillow type mask (the obvious solution) because my pressure is 14-15 with a narrow nasal passage...
I'm considering ordering the SleepWeaver cloth mask but my concerns are: Does the cloth really allow it to form a good seal? Does it work? If a person rolls over and covers the tiny cloth holes (i.e. no exhalation port like other masks), is there any risk of suffocation?
Thanks for your comments!
Cheryl

Sorry, you are having difficulty.
I am curious to hear responses on the sleep weaver mask. It looks to me like it would be hard to seal it.

I see that Circadience offers free return insurance on this mask.

You may be in some luck. Recently there was a thread containing this post: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=71107&p=656731&hili ... er#p656731 Poster said it sealed well at higher pressures. I suggest you read this post and the other comments. Xena will come along soon, and has been struggling with the leaks. She recently bought a PadACheek for the SleepWeaver, and I'm curious how that works out.
I love my SW but leaks are an ongoing challenge at the 9 to 12 cm pressure I run. One item to watch, if you do buy one, make sure you get the newer blue-velcro headgear. The older all-black headgear slips around too much. In answer to your question about suffocation.. no problem. There are an abundance of breathing holes in it, and as you wear it the stitched seams tend to open up tiny thread holes, so there is NO concern of suffocating. Good luck on your choice, and if you're new, welcome to the forum. earl
