Replacing Sandman auto

Post by terry123 » Sat Nov 26, 2011 6:15 pm

My Sandman is getting older and the humidifier is harder to fit on the machine, so I am looking to replace it soon. Anyone replace a Sandman and what did you replace it with since they don't make them anymore. I was looking at the Intellipap- Reviews look pretty good on it. Any suggestions??

Hi Terry

The humidifier has always been the worst feature of the Sandman.

Why not just get a new humidifier. Your machine may well last for a good few more years.

New Sandman Autos should be available at a discounted price, which is what I would be looking for if I wanted a new machine.

But, if you do want a new machine, the Intellipap is terrific, especially if you get the Smartlink module to get all your data, though you can at least get the bare basics online with the Smart code feature.

I love the sandman, but they don't make them anymore and don't think parts are available anymore. I am still using it, but the humidifier does not fit snug and I pull it tight and put a piece of tape on it- not the best situation, but it works. I have a Respironics M Series that I could use, but have never really liked it. Just wondered if anyone had used both sandman and intelliipap and how the comparison was.
