Don't know if you have seen this or not.

Mark has just recently started on this so it may be incomplete.

Awesome Pugsy,
Got it to work, thanks for the info.
So now I need to learn to read this thing and I can start helping myself.
Last evening I had the best nights sleep in a long time. Only had my new Cpap for 3 days.
Is there any document that explains the numbers?
I will take it a piece at a time, study each segment and figure it out. Right now this is all pretty much overwhelming to me.
Thanks again for your help.
Steve

If you're using the ResMed software, you may find that using BootCamp is easier than trying to do it through a VM like Parallels. Lots of folks here use VM's, but I always had issues.

I haven't seen the ResScan tutorial to know if it explains the terms that are used in great detail.
Different software but the data is the same just presented visually different.
http://montfordhouse.com/cpap/resscan_tutorial/

The Wiki at the the top of the forum has most of the acronyms.
wiki/index.php/Category:CPAP_Definitions

Short version is you strive for AHI less than 5. Don't expect perfection. Your sleep with change from night to night and so will your data so don't panic when it varies.
ResMed already subtracts mask vent so what you see is all excess or unwanted leak and you want to avoid the 24 L/min line because ResMed says it can't compensate above that line.
95% numbers simply mean that for 95% of the time you were either AT or BELOW that number. It isn't a magic number. It's just a statistic. I tend to rely more on averages myself.

There really isn't a special document to help you analyze your own data. Basically you have to read up and understand what you are seeing and how it impacts you. It seems overwhelming at first but it doesn't take long to get a good grasp on things.

For more details about something it is easier for us to answer specific questions.

If you want to post one of your reports for review with your questions you will get some direct answers.

If you don't know how to post an image of a report this is how I do it. I use screen shots.

Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.
