It varies as much as 300%. With insurance, I'm charged $2700. A friend of mine who had no insurance, and whom I met at the sleep lab on the same night, (total coincidence) was charged $1150. There are also machines that can be rented for a month, that will automatically adjust for the pressure you need. This information can then be downloaded by a lab and they can tell you what pressure you need. Or, you can simply have your doctor write a pescription for an Autopap or Autoset, and buy the machine from cpap.com.
They even have the software so you can see where you're at on your own computer. It's about $800.00 for that machine. If you have any questions, this forum is a great place to ask. Also, the friendly folks at cpap.com will go out of their way to help you. That's what keeps them at the top of the list when it comes to DME (Durable Medical Equipment.)
