Swift Nasal Pillows/Lasinoh Creame

Post by wmcanally » Fri Nov 18, 2011 6:06 pm

Good Evening

I purchased the Lasinoh creame today. Where all do i apply? The rim of my nostril, or any on the inner part. Ive wore the new mask now for 3 nights , no soreness at all. Just read if will offer me a better seal and keep nose from getting sore.

Any thoughts??

Thanks as always to my new friends here!!!!

A little applied to the outer nostril rim and on the inside of the nostril about as far in as the little cones go or heck even farther if you wish because it won't hurt anything.

I found a dab about the size of a pencil eraser did well. When I used too much as the night would go by my body heat would sort of liquefy the ointment and let things slide around a bit. Some people use a lot. You will likely need to play with it a bit. It is the tackiness that seems to help seal.

Thanks great. I hoped a little went a long way. It was nearly 10 a tube. 9.79 at wal mart. My walmart in town was out. Im very surprised im tolorating the pillows so well. My RT adjusted my machine to the correct setting. When we first were tring them own i felt like i couldnt breath starting out at a pressure setting of 5. My Doctor has me on auto for now and will set my ramp when he reviews my data in 5 more weeks. But since she set the machine ( and showed me how to reset if i use my other masks) im doing great, no issues. I bought a CPAP pillow today too. I have big pillows now and the hose sometimes gets in a awkard position. So ill give this one a try. Expensive pillow. 65.00 . My wife bought our regular pilllows at Bed Bath for 39 on sale. So im really hoping ill enjoy it.

Wmcanally, the Lansinoh really works. I use a very small amount, about the size of a BB for each nostril. All the great ideas on this site come from the girls, including TAPING. By the way, if you see Margo Martindale around town, tell her I watch her on every program she's on. For those of you who do not recognize the name, she's a former HS football queen from Jacksonville, TX. She's just a great actress! She played maby roles, including the prostitute buffalo gal on "Lonesome Dove", the records clerk that was a friend of Dexter's dad on "Dexter" and is presently the doctor's right hand on the program "A Gifted Man".

It will last forever. I still have the one I bought back in June 2009. Though I haven't used it in a long time as I don't seem to need it but I barely made a dent in it.

You know everyone thinks Walmart always has the best prices but sometimes they don't. Couple of weeks ago I was sending something to a friend and her local WalMart didn't carry Lansinoh and she couldn't find it anywhere so I decided to go buy a tube and send her a gift. Now WalMart for me is a 20 mile drive so I thought I would check the local mom and pop pharmacy before I made the trip. I fully expected it to be higher priced but figured since my truck is a gas guzzler..it would maybe still save me money. I nearly fell to the floor. $7.69 a tube. Same size as the one I had bought from WalMart way back when.

I use the Lansinoh more for chapped lips in the winter time than anything else now. It will last you a long, long time and it isn't like the other stuff only costs a couple of dollars. They aren't cheap either. I think there is a generic store brand in some places but I have never seen one. For some things that cost a little more..I just smile and tell myself that I am worth it. I am sure you are worth it too.

I paid $10.25 at Target, so the Walmart price was not bad. Pugsy wins the bargain hunter award, though!
