I guess there's no easy way to tell if I'm compromising my therapy with the large (consistent) leaks, but whether I'm using the leaky SW or the LT, my AHI hasn't been over 0.6, and I certainly feel OK when I wake up even though it was a lot less hours sleep.

Between my T2 diabetes and OSA, my body is a 24/7 self-inflicted science experiment LOL.

Logic would tell us that if you are feeling fine even with a lot less hours of sleep, then probably the therapy is not adversely impacted. It's just that our minds get hung up on that red line thing. And the mind is a most powerful thing.

You got that right, Pugsy! My brain would not shut up as I was worrying about the leaks, the air blowing, that I wasn't asleep yet........ I actually feel pretty good for getting around 3-hours sleep and have managed to get some major tasks completed at work, so I agree with you that my therapy probably isn't negatively affected by the high leaks.

Tonight I just have to convince myself that there is no danger in approaching the 'redline'

Thanks for keeping me sane-ish!

Since the paper tape got soggy I'm using Johnson's cloth medical tape; however we have two thicknesses.. the thinner is the better. It's about the thickness of notebook paper. The one that's too thick is like heavy poster paper. You want the thinner cloth tape. Best of luck with that.

Thanks n0hardmask - I have some 3M cloth medical tape about 1/2" which I tried last night, but it seemed too stiff and actually made it impossible to stop even worse leaks. It's a good thing I spent time messing with it first. I'll look for the J & J tape over the weekend.

Slept with the naked SW last night and it was the best night yet - not for leaks though. Got up to 40 for a while at times, but only one event showed on the data.

I semi woke up a few times with the air blowing, but after Pugsy's comments decided 'to hell with leaks' and went right back to sleep LOL. Must've had an attitude adjustment - either that or I was so tired from lack of sleep it didn't matter.

Cheers,
xena
