Hybernite 2300 heated hose

I saw this on ebay and thought I would share it.

So, this can't be used with the s9 hi5 heated humidifier, correct?

This can be used with the slim line or a regular hose. But it can not be used with climate line hose...the climate line hose is a heated hose.

I guess I wasn't clear. I was asking if it could be used with an s9 hi5 humidifier in lieu of a climate line hose.

No. Its an option for those that do not have the choice of the heated hose.

I saw this product demonstrated at an AWAKE meeting tonight. My local DME is carrying it. It seems to be the same product more or less as the Aussie heated hose, and can be used with any brand of cpap.

Respironics new humidification system does not warm the air enough to suit me even at a setting of 5.
Even with insulating the hose with a nice Padacheeks hose cozy I am finding with the cooler nights that I don't like the cold air going up my nose. It has already woke me up several times having ice cube nose. I like bedroom 55 to 60 degrees in winter. Great for sleeping but not so great up the nose.

I could change over to the Classic humidification system which is much more heat, uses lots more water and, at my humidifier preference, pretty much guaranteed to be snorting water up the nose and listening to gurgling water in the hose. The hose cozy helps decrease the rain out but it is not completely eliminated in my situation.

I was thinking of making my own heated hose with reptile heater cable. Decided since I really had no clue how to do it and would probably need a rheostat (which again no clue) that this is probably a better option for me. With some items my time is worth more than the dollars I might save doing it myself. This is one of them.
