FFM for long face

Post by lullaby » Sun Jul 17, 2011 2:00 am

Wondering if anyone has suggestions for the best ffm for a long face. I'm on week 2 of cpap and have so far tried the Quattro FX which leaked alot. This week, i'm trying the Quattro FFM with better results. I have quite a long face with deep set eyes so i'm finding that i get a lot of leaks around my nose area - especially when i turn on my side. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Any particular reason you need a FFM? There are a multitude of other options if you don't.

There are a few that will work well.
Quattro Large
Fisher & Paykel Large or extra large.
Here are some links to videos of each mask

We have a mask trial program also if you want to give one of them a try.

Good Luck,

Have you considered one of the hybrid styles?

Thanks so much for your replies. I'm at my wits end with the leaky masks that i've been trialling. I'll give the F&P mask a try. I think that the company that i'm trialling with only has the F&P Forma - is this mask as good as the 431 & 432?

THe Forma is the new version of the 431 432 masks. It has some improvements over the older style.

What improvements does the Forma version have? Our DME wants my husband to try it as he's having leaks with his long-time use of UltraMirage FF. Since he's sleeping much deeper with his new machine, he's also dropping his chin quite a bit and causing large leaks.

If you stay with the Quattro & it's still leaking, I wanted to let you know that I had a lot of luck with mask liner & anti-leak strap from padacheek.com. Practically eliminated my leaks.

Good luck.

I never tried the 432, but the 431 is just the silicone mask and the Forma has a cushion in the silicone. I'm sure some people think one works better and others think the opposite. The Forma has a chin cup.

I thought the 431 and 432 have chin cups too?
