Getting MD to prescribe autopap

Post by Sleeping With The Enemy » Fri Jan 28, 2005 10:38 pm

just wondering what the experiences are for people getting their MD's to prescribe the auto titrating units. The lady who is working with me at the medical supply place seems to be a little different to get her to order different masks in for me to try (trying nose masks). I can only imagine what she will say when I ask about getting a auto titrating machine. I'm stomach sleeper and have a hard time sleeping any other way.

Hi Hhunt,

If you would like to buy an autopap on your own, you can do so at https://www.cpap.com with a cpap prescription. It sounds like you already have a cpap RX, but you may not get an auto prescription if the insurance company or the homecare company doesn't rule in your favor. If this is the case, please give us a call at cpap.com and we may be able to help.
