Pillow Talk!!!

Post by WalkingZombie » Fri Sep 23, 2011 1:55 pm

Ok, so last night was the my first night of sleeping with my cpap machine. I was a little worried about being able to sleep on my side, because I rarely sleep on my back. Well, turns out the this pillow I bought a little over a month ago at Bed Bath & Beyond (before I was even suspected of having apnea) called the Side Sleeper Pro, and it worked out fantastic with the mask on my face last night. The mask does not touch the pillow, so I had no leaks or anything! I'm so excited and think this whole "getting used to wearing the mask" thing is not gonna be as big a problem as I thought! I also see on the Bed Bath & Beyond website that they sell a pillow made for cpap users, but it's between $50-$60 dollars! I paid $20 for my pillow and I was able to sleep comfortably on my side last night! Just thought I'd pass this little tid-bit along!

Sounds good, do you have a link for this pillow?

No problem, here's the first thing to do when you quit:

Thank you, what caught my eye is when you said that the mask doesn't touch the pillow. That is perhaps my #1 issue when it comes to leaks (I'm sure I'm not the only one) because you end up moving the mask out of position. Thanks for posting.

You're very welcome! I'm a newbie, and still have alot to learn, but thought this may help someone. I just put my face right on the edge of the pillow and I got no leaks at all!

Keep us posted on how it holds up. Interesting design. I am thinking about butchering a memory foam pillow to fit that design. Most pillows are too "tall" for my neck and head since I have small shoulders. End up with head elevated at awkward angle.

I think I've seen this one at the local store--Is that little hole for your ear?

Yes, the little hole if for your ear, but in order to put your face right on the edge, the ear hole may not line up.
