Perrybucsdad wrote:Thanks.... and where did you get your Pad a Cheek mask liner? I would like to try one, but I can't find any information on how long they take to ship from the manufacturer and have not had any luck finding other retailers who sell them.

I thought about making a homemade one, but it looks like they have a good record, so I doubt mine home made version would do me any good. I'd just like to try and get a better seal and more comfortable seal.
I order directly from padacheek.com and pay with PayPal. I've placed 2 orders and received both within 3 to 5 days, which is fast enough for me. I am 100% satisfied with both liner and anti-leak strap I ordered.

For me, if the AHI was sufficiently low (and I think in both cases yours are), then I'd go for comfort: Which setting lets me sleep most comfortably and wake up and function better during the day?

I'm not sure I would demand the difference be "feel superhuman" to go with the scenario with the marginally higher AHI. I'd simply set the standard at "which mask/pressure setting" lets me function "better"---even if "better" is not "better by huge, fantastic amount."

I'd be in a conundrum if one setting was more comfortable to sleep with, but the other allowed me to function marginally better.

Thanks robysue - at the moment the difference (if any) is very nuanced, but I'm trying to evaluate as I go forward.

Thanks Randy... I just called them and placed an order for the liner. I didn't order the anti-leak strap, and now I wonder if I should have, but I will give this a try. I guess I could always just wrap a bunge cord around my head if I really need it.

You might find you don't need more than the mask liner.

I was taking a bit of literary license and stretching things a bit.
Though one time I did have the "miracle" and felt super human...looked at the data in the evening of that day I I always looked in the evening at the previous night's result so not to jinx myself...and I had an AHI of 10.. Go figure that one.
I would gladly take that AHI if I could feel that good every day.

So I don't really set a super human standard to go by. I have to much other baggage besides OSA that is going to prevent it. While not a pessimist...I am a realist.
