Does anyone hear like a dripping sound when the s9/humidifier is powered on.? Exchanged it and still hear it.

Nope. Do you have the humidifier set up so that you only adjust the temperature and it adjusts the humidity? It's possible to override that feature and set the humidity and temperature separately and end up with rainout, which sounds like what you're describing.

Nope never heard water dripping from mine. Are you over filling the water tub?

Keep it on climate ctrl auto. Nothing to do with water chamber only when it is powered on just plugged in. Slow drip sound in the back or click sound onthe faint side. Enough to bother you when not in use and just next to it before falling asleep.

I am in my third week of using a APAP and the only time I noticed any sound coming from it was when I over filled the tank. I heard a gurgling until I fell asleep. No problems the next night though. I have never heard a drip or clicking sound.

Hello everyone!
A back to basics question...
What's the point of the Humidifier? What happens if I don't put water in the tank nor activate it by pressing the button for 3 seconds?
I may be wrong but I think I got a pretty bad sinusitis after using the humidifier.
Thanks!

Most people find that the air dries out the nasal mucosa so we add moisture using the heated humidifier. Not everyone needs the added moisture. Some people do better with minimal added humidity by using the humidifier with water in it and no added heated this is called passover humidity. Minimal moisture is picked up by the air moving over the not warmed air. Some people don't even need passover humidity and don't even use a humidifier. It is strictly personal preference. I happen to need LOTS of added moisture and when I forgot to add water to the tank and it ran dry I paid a horrible price with my nasal mucosa and sinuses screaming about it for about 3 days. Horrible allergy like symptoms for sure from the dry air since I don't normally have allergy issues.

If you do better with no heat or without water at all it hurts nothing. If tank gets heated by mistake with no water in it the plastic will stink something awful plus I expect it isn't good on the tank. As long as you don't turn on the heating function..hurts nothing.

Great repply; thanks! I'll try that tonight and see what happens. I will simply turn the device on without hitting the 3-seconds button for water heating (but will leave water in the tank just in case). Be well!

To run without humidity you have to change the settings, the button is used when you want to pre-heat the water.
