S8 Card Reader or ?

Post by kaiya2465 » Fri Sep 02, 2011 5:39 am

I am in need of a Resmed ResScan™ Smart Card Reader for S8™ and S8™ II Machines. I have looked on some websites, but did not find any local...If anyone knows where I can get one or has one they don't need/use anymore. I want to continue to be proactive with my health. (Or is the something else that will do the same thing w/o damaging anything)?

Thank you so much in advance!

Kaiya, see my post here: viewtopic/t67961/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=64 ... 85#p606185
The readers are hard to find because they're not made anymore. You can use a generic ACR 38 that is non-CCID, see my posts, and others, for more info. The branded ResMed smartcard readers are still available in the ResMed supply system. If you are on good terms with your DME and your Dr writes a RX, you may be able to get one that way. I was able to get one from my DME as a loaner a couple of months ago and I heard one of our members bought one in California a while back for about $40. I bought a generic on-line for about $35. See my signature line for the model. But-caution here, any you see advertised will most likely be the newer model and will not work. So, before buying, you must verify with the vendor, you are getting the older version (again they are no longer being made)
