For those who have not followed my cpap saga I have graduated to an ASV CPAP to control my complicated mix of periodic breathing, central sleep apnea and obstructive sleep apnea.
My set pressure is 10 cmH2O exhale pressure and an adjustable pressure rage of 13 to 25 on inhale. The pressure changes to regulate the volume of air I take and increases to insure I don't take shallow breaths or stop breathing due to central apnea.
At first I used the Swift Lt. It worked well at a pressure of 9 cmH2O and 6 cmH2O that they tried my settings.
When they gave me the ASV I was told that almost everyone on this machine uses a FFM due to the higher pressure. But I am finding the movement of the FFM with the pressure increase as well as the mask leaks with a rapid pressure increase is what wakes me.
Last night I took off my FFM in desperation and tried my Swift Lt with great success. So I am wondering if there are others that are using this mask with higher pressures or an ASV with success.

I use the Swift FX with cpap pressure 14 constant and have no problems.

Re: Using Swift Lt with higher pressure
The LT's and FX's are rated up tof 20 cm but I've heard plenty of reports of people doing just fine with them at pressures as high as 25. I don't know why DME's and doctors persist in saying they don't work at higher pressures.

Re: Using Swift Lt with higher pressure
The LT works far, far better for me with my ASV than any of the FFMs I tried ever did. My numbers are better on the nasal pillows as well. This isn't uncommon.

Re: Using Swift Lt with higher pressure
I just the other night discovered quite by accident that my Swift FX pillows don't go popping out of my nose and flying across the room when I hit 20 cm for almost the whole night last Thursday night.
