OT: Humor: Being obsessive about cleaning

Post by archangle » Tue Aug 30, 2011 3:32 pm

As some of you know, I clean most of my equipment in the dishwasher. Some people have even suggested I'm a little obsessive about the cleaning.

I really don't think I am, but you really can't please everyone.

Even Sylvester has been complaining.

BTW, he's really cranky when I let him out.

He ain't too happy about it when I put him in, either.

Hubbs would think he had entered the twilight zone if I was obsessive about cleaning in general

Speaking of which:
All masks got their monthly cleaning along with chin strap & grey filter on Saturday, and hose got cleaned in the shower this morning.

Since this is a "serious" thread, could anyone tell me why it's necessary to clean the long hose part on the mask? It is clean, distilled water going in, and there ain't no critters... I check.

I remember Wally from Dilbert saying that there's no reason to wash bath towels. When he gets out of the shower, he should be the cleanest thing in the house.

The hose argument makes some degree of sense. I clean mine anyway.

There's probably some residual dust that makes it through the filters. That could stick to the moisture condensed on the inside of the hose. It might pick up smells, too. Air you exhale goes part way back up the hose. There may be some "human goo" that comes out in your breath.
