Question about Remstar Auto

Post by snoozalot » Wed Feb 15, 2006 11:40 am

I was wondering if the accumulated data on the smart card, or the cumulative hours of use shown on the digital readout would get lost if I want to change my pressure settings.

Since you have to unplug the machine to change the settings, does this affect any of the data?

It might, Bob. Actually, just the part that displays the detailed data (which may be the part you want to see.)

This loss of data seems to be guaranteed to happen if you remove the card while the machine is turned on. But I lost it two days ago just by switching from CPAP to APAP mode. I gave up on it recovering on its own and just erased the card this morning.

The saving grace is that it doesn't happen all the time when changing modes. Don't have a solution for it when it does though.

Regards,
Bill

Aha!

That may be what happened with my BiPap pro2.

Must do some more tests once I reinstall Encore Pro yet again to remove password from the sql db (to get Derek's software working)
