EncoreViewer record

Post by Samaniya » Wed Aug 24, 2011 7:26 am

Dear all
I just have seen the report of my REMstar Auto CPAP via EncoreViewer 2.0. I tried to read the document ,but I have many questions. So please tell me where I can find any document that can help my understanding.

Respironics never gave us anything to explain how to interpret what we see.

In the Help section there should be a glossary of the terms shown on the report with defnitions.
The clinical manual for the machine has a bit more information on the terms.

I have been meaning to compose a little tutorial but just haven't gotten around to it since composing is not something I do well. I really hate doing it. But I can answer questions all day long.

Most people post an image of their report here and ask questions about what they don't understand. Then we explain it.
Generally you would like for AHI to be less than 5. Leak rate shown in Viewer is total leak because it includes the mask's intentional vent rate...so that number is varied all the time. I usually tell people to look for a mostly straight line. The other stuff is more individual and has a lot of variables that are still within acceptable ranges.

To post an image of your report..this is how I do it. If you can't manage it on your computer send me a private message and I will see if I can help. It is hard enough to explain all this to someone who has English for first language.. much harder when it is second language (though I think you do quite well)

Open the image to full size so it is easily read.
I use Vista snipping tool to create a screen shot and crop the image at the same time.
Prt/scr key will also take a screen shot if using XP. If laptop is used sometimes the Fn key has to be pushed at the same time as the prt/scr key
I think windows 7 Home Premium has the snipping tool, Basic may not.
Once the screen shot is created save it in jpg format.
Upload the image to a host site. I use Photobucket it is free, there are others.
Once the image is uploaded then copy the ENTIRE IMG address. Be sure to include the opening and closing IMG in brackets. Paste that copied address into a post here.
Use the preview button. If you can't see the image try again because if you can't see it we can't.

And I am 59 year old woman who has horses, dogs, cats, raccoons, opossums and the two deer in my avatar. I watched them grow up in my field last summer. I have new babies to watch this year. They don't let me get so close. I live in the country away from town. I like it much better.

I have sent you a copy of your machines clinical manual. It has some definitions in it that helps explain things.
I have seen the one summary page that you sent and I responded with my thoughts. All in all quite acceptable with maybe just some minor adjustments. Will know more when you send me one of the detailed single night's report.

Your English is very good. Sometimes I am not clear with what I say. If you need clarification on something just tell me.
I don't mind and I do understand.

If you have a problem with a specific definition...just ask. Sometimes they aren't the best of definitions what we see in the glossary.
