OT: Interesting. Do You Suffer From Decision Fatigue ??

Post by Slinky » Fri Aug 19, 2011 4:39 am

The New York Times magazine had a really interesting article on decision making and its effects.

Yes I have noticed it. Stress and medication (or paint fumes) make it worse too. It took 3 days after the kitchen was finished being painted before I could decide just where to hang the decorations.

With my art work late afternoon I can't pick a bead or a ribbon anymore. Which colour goes best? Just where should that piece go?

Decisions have always exhausted me. *sigh* Just everyday mundane little decisions. *sigh* And often I have avoided making them and just let "nature take its course", what will be will be, as the easy way out regardless how good or bad the final outcome. Tsk, tsk. As I've gotten older I've come to just rely on "instinct" and not look back. Whatever my first reaction is is the decision I go with.

Maybe I've just never eaten enough sugar???

That's a good question. Hmmm . . . I can't decide.

While the NY Times does nauseate me with it's extreme liberal bias, I did find this particular article *interesting*, nonetheless...

Hey, Vader!!! Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

Did ya see? IF Michelle Bachman is elected President she's gonna bring gas back down to $2 a gallon!!!! Maybe Rick Perry will be her Vice President and pray the cost of gas down for her.

Oh! Wait a minute!! That wasn't Michelle Bachman, that was ... whatshername? What woodwork did these women climb out of?

Ughh.... :::sigh:::

Slinky, ya know what I REALLY like about you?
You're not afraid to give your opinions, for fear of losing a "popularity contest" here, like "some" veteran members of this forum. That's a good quality. See, we're more alike than you may have thought!

p.s., at this point, I'm not "for" Bachmann or Perry.

Aw, shucks, Vader. Yer no fun! Yer too willing and take all the fun outta it.

Yeah, its a wide field of candidates so far. I'm just amazed that the GOP has attracted so darn many extremists and really .... oddballs? Quacks?? Where are the good sensible conservatives???

Probably too smart and intelligent to get involved .... what a free-for-all!!!
